PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron club which ensures a good head turn or an iron club which substantially prevents hooking and an iron club set for which these iron clubs are used by setting the centroid position of a head body nearer the toe side or heel side than the center in its bottom. SOLUTION: The head body 1 of the iron club is formed of a light metal like titanium or titanium alloy. Three pieces to six pieces of bar-shaped weight materials 6 consisting of the tungsten, tungsten alloy, etc., having the sp. gr. larger than the sp. gr. of the light metal are arrayed apart prescribed intervals from the toe side to the heel side in the section below the rear cavity part 2 of the head body and above the ground contact surface. There weight materials are embedded at prescribed depths from the rear surface of the head body toward the club face side in such a manner that the axial canters thereof are nearly paralleled with the ground contact surface. The total weight ratio of the weight materials 6 to the head body is confined to =40%.
