PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform inspection and adjustment of landing in a full area of a screen in short time and with high precision by measuring from a display face side an irradiation state onto a phosphor face of electron beams according to a change in a magnetic field generated in the vicinity of a display face of a color cathode-ray tube and substantially parallel thereto and obtaining a mistaken landing quantity onto the phosphor of the electron beams. ;SOLUTION: In a color cathode-ray tube 1, mutually reversed rotational magnetic fluxes are generated by a given current supplied to horizontal and vertical deflection coils 12 and 13 of a measuring beam deflector 9 of a front face thereof, electron beams are deflected by a leakage magnetic flux in a circular iron core region, and a measuring mistaken landing is generated. A change in landing image data is written into an image memory 5 via an image pickup device 3 and an AD converter 4 and calculated by a processing unit 7 according to a calculation program stored in a memory 6, and as a result a mistaken landing quantity is displayed on a display device 8. This is adjusted by means of purity magnet adjustment or deflection yoke position adjustment or the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
