BIOABSORBABLE COMPOSITE MOLDED PRODUCT, BIOABSORBABLE MATERIAL AND THEIR PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bioabsorbable composite molded products and bioabsorbable material having excellent biocompatibility, bioabsorbability and storage stability and useful as biomaterials, such as bone substituting and jointing materials, bone filling materials, dental materials or biorestorative materials, medical equipment materials, such as cutaneous terminals or catheters, base materials for sustained release drug etc., and to provide their production methods. ;SOLUTION: This bioabsorbable composite molded product is such one as to include (B) a water-soluble polymeric fiber in a composite composed of (A) a biodegradable polymer and (C) a calcium phosphate-based compound, wherein, at least one filament of (B) the water-soluble polymeric fiber penetrate(s) through the two or more planes of the above composite. The other objective bioabsorbable material is such one that pores each having a diameter of 1 μm-1000 μm, produced after removal of (B) the water-soluble polymeric fiber from this composite molded product by an aqueous solution, penetrate through the two or more planes of the composite composed of (A) the biodegradable polymer and (C) the calcium phosphate-based compound.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
