STAINED GLASS-LIKE DESIGNED GLASS AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stained glass-like designed glass which gives a three- dimensional appearance like stained glass, has high shock resistance and can be prevented from scattering, when it is broken. ;SOLUTION: A rising pattern line 2 is printed on one surface of clear sheet glass, a plurality of glass pieces 5 are adhered to the other surface of the sheet glass along the pattern line 2 and jointing parts 6 are formed to fill the gaps between the glass pieces and rise up on the outer face of the glass pieces. The pattern lines are printed with an epoxy resin ink on one surface of the clear sheet glass so that the line may rise up, and a plurality of glass pieces are arranged and adhered to the other surface along the pattern line. Then, they are heated and pressed at a prescribed temperature and gaps between the glass pieces are filled with an epoxy resin jointing material by printing thereby allowing the jointing part to rise up.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
