STAINED GLASS-LIKE ORNAMENT OF SPECTACLE FRAME AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect the patterns formed by vapor deposited films at a prescribed angle so as to exhibit brilliant patterns and to make a spectacle frame more luxurious by packing resins into the opening holes formed through the parts of the spectacle frame and forming the vapor deposited films of metal oxide on sheets embedded into the transparent resin layers. ;SOLUTION: Tapes are affixed to the one side of the opening holes formed on the parts of the spectacle frames and the transparent epoxy resins, etc., are poured by about half therein. The sheets patterned by vacuum vapor deposition are placed therein, by which the prescribed stained glass-like ornamental pieces are obtd. Masking is applied on the sheets and this masking is removed afterward in the case when the patterns are formed by the vacuum vapor deposition. IP sputtering is used in some cases in place of the vacuum vapor deposition. The metal oxide is titanium oxide, etc., and is not particularly limited. The metal oxide 4 is evaporated by irradiating the metal oxide with a laser beam 5.
