PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject inhibitor which is useful for preventing the occurrence of putrid smell in wastewater passes of life wastewater and medical wastewater and possesses the long durable effect by forming a molding product containing an antibacterial agent and a specific hydraulic base in a specific proportion. ;SOLUTION: This sustained release-in-water type putrefaction inhibitor is obtained by mixing (A) preferably an antimicrobial selected from a cationic surfactant-based antimicrobial, an amphoteric surfactant-based antimicrobial and an iodic antimicrobial, (B) a hydraulic base which possesses A/B (weight ratio; but A is the weight of an efficient component) of 1/99-50/50 and is selected from gypsum, preferably baked gypsum (calcium sulfate 1/2 hydrate), hydraulic lime, Portland cement and magnesia cement and, when necessary, (C) urea having C/(total of A and B) of 0.01-0.6 in the weight ratio and (D) 1-20C alcohols, adding (E) coloring agents, perfumes and other additives when necessary, solidifying the mixture by adding (F) water followed by pouring it into a mold and then taking it out from the mold.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
