FAULT REPORTING METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden of an operator, who is to cope with a fault by receiving the report of the fault from the autophone of a sales shop, and to shorten waiting time for a reporter. SOLUTION: A monitor server 2 stores fault information sent from an automatic teller machine(ATM) 1 into a fault storage data base 8. An autophone 4 transmits a branch store name and an ATM number to a center as an autophone ID. A telephone exchange 5 reports this autophone ID through an autophone server 6 to a monitor terminal 3 and sounds the ringer of reception telephone set 7 of a close adviser. With the reported branch store name and ATM number as a key, the monitor terminal 3 retrieves the fault storage data base 8 through the monitor server 2 and the target fault information is displayed on the monitor terminal 3.
