PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability of earthquake-resistant reinforcement by using a carbon, aramid or glass fiber sheet besides a band-shaped steel plate as a reinforcing material, combining the reinforcing materials and winding the reinforcing materials on the upper and lower sections of column-beam joining sections in an existing reinforced concrete or steel encased reinforced concrete structure. ;SOLUTION: A caron, aramid or glass fiber sheet is used as a reinforcing material 3 besides a band-shaped steel plate. One or a plurality of reinforcing materials 3 are combined without increasingly placing concrete to the column and beam joining section 4 at the time of the earthquake-resistant reinforcement of the column 2 and beam 1 joining section 4 in the existing reinforced concrete or steel encased reinforced concrete structure, and the reinforcing materials 3 are wound on the upper and lower sections of the joining section 4. Accordingly, the progress of shear cracks generated in the column and beam joining section can be prevented by the reinforcing materials in the upper and lower sections of the column and beam joining section, and the shear strength and ductility of the column and beam joining section are increased, thus improving strength and deformation performance as the whole building.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
