PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stable rolling with a satisfactory yield by correcting the bend of the rolled stock, and to provide the method and the device for correcting the bend of the rolled stock in the rolling equipment for the hot metal plate, whose rolling speed is not lowered. ;SOLUTION: The equipment performing the rough rolling of a rolling stock 1 from a slab to a crude bar, is constituted of two thickness reducing rolling mills 101, 102, a side guide 105 enabling reversible tapered shape opening and closing, which is arranged between these two thickness reducing rolling mill stands, and two edge rolling mills 103, 104 arranged outside the two thickness reducing mills 101, 102, and the forward and the backward rolling of the rolling stock 1 is performed. The bend at the tip of the rolled stock, occurred by edge rolling, is corrected by taper shape side guide members 20, 21 of the side guide 105 simultaneously with the rolling.
