METHOD FOR MEASURING DISORDERED QUANTITY IN HEIGHT OF RAIL DUE TO ARC TREAD OF WHEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a disordered quantity in height of a rail by a method wherein a calculation operation is executed such that errors of vertical variation quantities of three points due to an arc tread detected by an orbit inspection/ measurement vehicle is corrected by taking a vertical movement interval of a contact point between a rail arc tread and a running wheel with respect to a reference position as a correction data. ;SOLUTION: Data obtained by simultaneously detecting vertical variation quantities of three points of a rail 1 by virtue of each of vertical displacement detectors 31a-31c of an orbit inspection/measurement vehicle 2 is digitized to be inputted to a correction calculation circuit. A straight or inclined interval stored in a distance data memory is selected from a running distance of a running distance calculation device 4 and a correction data of a straight or inclined rail stored in a correction data table by an interval signal is selected. Data of right and left displacement quantities of three points detected by each of displacement detectors 51a-51c is digitized and an address generation circuit generates address signals corresponding to right and left displacement quantities. An error of the data of the displacement quantities of three points due to an arc tread is corrected by virtue of the correction data to be calculated, thereby calculating and outputting a disordered quantity in height.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
