PURPOSE:To obtain the title inhibitor having excellent stability and maintaining effects in a solution for a long period of time, containing an extract prepared by extracting specified plants with a specific mixed solvent. CONSTITUTION:(A) Green tea or tea, (B) herbaceous peony, (C) mugwort, (D) clove, (E) Geranium thunbergii Sieb., (F) Vncania gambir Roxburgh, (G) Cork tree bark and (H) leaves of peach tree as starting raw materials are extracted in such a way that the components A and B are extracted with a mixed solvent of water, ethanol and 1,3-butylene glycol in the ratio of 5:3:2, the component C to the component G are extracted with a mixed solvent of water and ethanol in the ratio of (7:3)-(4:6) and the component H is extracted with a mixed solvent of water and 1,3-butylene glycol in the ratio of (6:4)-(3:7) and the prepared plant extract is contained as an active ingredient of peroxide lipid formation inhibitor comprising the plant extract.
