PURPOSE: To improve handling properties of an application oil which is applied to wires of an electric motor for a compressor and whose moisture absorbability is lowered, by using a lubricating oil which has no miscibility with a liquid refrigerant to provide two-layer separation at liquid portions in a refrigerant circuit, which has a low viscosity to flow through a restriction part of the refrigerant circuit and whose specific gravity is lighter than that of the refrigerant. ;CONSTITUTION: A hard alkylbenzene having a low viscosity is used as a lubricating oil 6 for a compressor 1 in a refrigeration unit using an HFC 134a as a refrigerant. If a viscosity of oil in an evaporator 4 is made the same as that of oil to be usually used in a refrigeration unit such as a refrigerator, the fluidity of the oil and the thickness of an oil film formed on the inner wall face of the evaporator can be made substantially similar to those in the case where a conventional CFC 12 refrigerant is used. Also, the viscosity of the oil 6 used for sliding portions in the compressor 1 varies depending upon whether the oil has miscibility, but when a solubility of the CFC 12 in the evaporator stays substantially similar even at the sliding portions in the compressor 1, actually viscous lubricity can be obtained if a low-viscous oil is used under the condition of the atmosphere of the HFC 134a.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
