PURPOSE: To accelerate a channel supplying time by forming drawn recesses aligned in one line on a channel plate, increasing an ink flow passage in the channel, and forming an insulating layer of a thick film to increase the number of supplying times after small droplets are discharged. CONSTITUTION: A channel plate 31 has parallel grooves 20 drawn in one direction, which are passed to a front surface 29 of the plate. An ink is fed to a manifold formed of the recesses 24 and a heating element plate 28 via charging holes 25, i.e., to a storage tank to fully fill the grooves 20 via common recesses 38 formed on a thick film insulating layer 18 by a capillarity. The ink is formed in a recess by the capillarity by a small negative pressure in respective nozzles to prevent it from dripping from it. Since the plate 31 is formed smaller than a lower board 28, an electrode terminal 32 is exposed. For example, it is connected to an electrode on 5 daughter board 19 via a wire bonding 52, and a printhead 10 on the board is permanently mounted.
