PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion during a cooling process after stopping of a turbine by holding the pressure of a condenser below a saturation pressure obtained from a temperature of the low pressure stage part so that no condensation occurs in the turbine until the temperature of metal parts in the turbine lowers a saturation temperature. ;CONSTITUTION: After a turbine comes to a top, an auxiliary cooling pump 15 feeds cooling water into a condenser 4. A corrosion controller 12 calculates a saturation pressure inside a low pressure turbine 3 corresponding to a temperature indicated by a signal from a detector 26 provided in the low pressure turbine 3. When the pressure of the low pressure turbine is height than the saturation pressure, the controller 26 increases the discharge volume of the auxiliary pump 15, and also increases the exhaust volume of a gas exhauster 14 which discharges uncondensed gas to the outside from the condenser so as to maintain the pressure of the condenser at a lower value. Accordingly, no condensation occurs until the pressure of the inside of the turbine lowers to a saturation temperature corresponding to the pressure of the inside of the turbine, and therefore no corrosion occurs, thereby it is possible to prevent corrosion fatigue of rotor blades, stator blades and a rotor shaft.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
