METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING UTILITY FUNCTION DECLARATION TYPE COMMUNICATION BAND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize the total of utility of a user per unit of network resources by declaring the parameter of a utility function and allocating a band to the user so as to maximize the utility per unit band of a network. ;SOLUTION: A controller 1 has a reporting device 6 for receiving the parameter of the utility function from the user and reporting the allocated band and an allocation quantity calculating device 7 for determining the bands to be allocated to the respective users based on the reported utility functions of respective users. A utility function parameter determining device 5 calculates the parameter of the utility function corresponding to an application. A user reporting device 4 communicates the calculated parameter to the communication equipment 6 of the network. Based on the just reported parameter and the parameters of the other users, the allocation quantity calculating device 7 calculates the band for each user so as to maximize the utility per band.
