PRODUCTION OF HIGH PURITY MYCELIUM OF GANODERMA LUCIDUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mycelium of Ganoderma lucidum in a high purity, useful as a low calory health diet and an elixir of life by culturing the G. lucidum using a medium consisting of a glutinous rice and a glucose. SOLUTION: This mycelium of Ganoderma lucidum having =95wt.% mycelium purity, is obtained by culturing the G. lucidum using a medium consisting of a glutinous rice such as Higomochi, Asahimochi, Hiyokumochi, Himenomochi, Hassakumochi, etc., and a glucose such as D-glucose, treating the cultured material after the culture with extraction by using a cellulolytic enzyme at 55-60 deg.C, drying the extract to form a powder.
