JOINT SEAL MACHINE FOR NEW/OLD PAVEMENT BOUNDARY LINE ON PAVED ROAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint seal machine by which a boundary line between an existing paved part and a newly paved part after construction can be safely, speedily, and uniformly sealed with asphalt. ;SOLUTION: A fusing tank 2 to fuse asphalt joint material, an attachment material tank to contain attachment material such as lime and quartz sand K, and a heating means of a burner to heat the fusing tank 2 are provided on a carriage 1. A joint material chute 5 is disposed at a side part of the carriage 1 for receiving fused asphalt S to be introduced from a discharge port, 3cm wide, provided in a bottom part on to a boundary line A, an attachment material chute 6 is disposed on the back of the joint material chute 5 for receiving the quartz sand K to drop from a discharge port, 3cm wide, provided in the bottom part onto the line A, a guide rod 8 is provided to guide the joint material chute 5 and the attachment material chute 6 onto the boundary line, and a closing plate to close the joint material chute 5, an opening/closing plate 27 to close the fusing tank 2, and a rotary drum 61 means to stop dropping of the quartz sand K from the attachment material chute 6 are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
