PURPOSE: To satisfactorily adjust the movement of freely moving vehicles by predicting and selecting cameras which can detect the automatic guide vehicle(AGV) within view fields through the use of the AGV map and information such as the planned movement schedule for the AGV. CONSTITUTION: The downward television cameras 1 and 2 observing a factory from above are used and the cameras 1 and 2 are arranged so that all routes where the AGV 5 travels are contained in the visual fields 3 and 4. Interesting points along (machine, cargo station or the like) the routes are shown as nodes and the description is allocated in the navigation system software. A navigation system has knowledge on the AGV map and the planned movement schedule for the AGV 5. The cameras 1 and 2 which can detect the AGV 5 within the visual fields are predicted and selected by using such information. Thus, the movement of the freely moving vehicles is satisfactorily adjusted.
