PURPOSE: To eliminate swing of a transfer device in the load transferring direction and prevent loads from shifting by making a swing stopper approach an edge surface on a rack side on both sides of the transfer device when changing over the swing stopper to a swing stopping posture. ;CONSTITUTION: The load transfer means 9 of a transfer device 5 is lowered to a level adjacent, to the load supporting row of a load supporting base 21 which must, replenish loads W, and delivering of a hanging belt is stopped to stop the transfer device 5 to a fixed level. By rotating an arm 23 outwards by 90 degree with the motor 27 of a driving means 25 in this condition, the swing stopping roller 24 of right and left swing stopping means 10A, 10B are first changed from a stopper acting posture to a swing stopping posture which is indicated with a virtual line.
