PREPARATION:A bacterium [preferably Streptomyces platensis A-136 (FERM BP-1786)] belonging to the genus Streptomyces, capable of producing antibiotic TAN-950A, is subjected to submerged aerated culture at approximately neutral pH of medium at 24-30 deg.C.
