Continuous casting mold additive for high cleanliness molten steel casting

PURPOSE:To provide an additive for continuous casting mold for casting Si deoxidized steel demanded to have superior workability in drawing of low Al wire, fatigue strength or machinability. CONSTITUTION:This additive for continuous casting mold is used at the time of executing the continuous casting of the Si deoxidized molten steel having 0.02% sol. Al through an immersion nozzle composed of zirconia or zircon- containing material or a nozzle having the such material at slag line, and by containing 2-6wt.% ZrO2 component to the mold additive for ordinary casting, selectively adding flux component and molten adjusting agent and mixing base material beforehand executing melting treatment to the whole body and aggregate of carbon powder, etc., for adjusting melting speed. As the other kind of this additive, a part of the molten adjusting agent in the above mold additive, is mixed with the base material executing the melting treatment.
