PURPOSE:To prohibit the forgery and falsification of the magnetic card by providing a magnetic layer which has the coercive force substantially higher than the coercive force of the magnetic layer for recording and a low Curie point and is used as a track for collation. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic card 1 has the magnetic layer 3 which is formed as a stripe on the surface of a nonmagnetic base body 2 and is used as the track for magnetic information recording. The card has the magnetic layer 4 which has the coercive force substantially higher than the coercive force of the magnetic layer 3 at ordinary temp. and the Curie point substantially lower than the Curie point of the magnetic layer 3 and is used as a track for collation on the different surface part. Since this magnetic material has the characteristic of having the high coercive force at ordinary temp. and the low Curie point, the material is not easily available for general people and, therefore, there is no possibility that the cards are reproduced in a large quantity. In addition, the card device requires a thermomagnetic recording means. Thus, the forgery and falsification with commercially marked magnetic card devices are usually infeasible.
