PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a natural scenic view and increase the wave-absorbing capacity, by protruding natural shore reef-shaped materials on the surface of stepwise blocks laid on a revetment or the like for coastal conservation. ;SOLUTION: A bowl-shaped fiber reinforced cement shell 1 having a natural rock shape and color is supported on flexible materials like sandbags arranged on sand laid on the base so as to well fit thereon and steel frames 5 to form stepwise blocks are assembled at the opening edge of the upper end of the shell 1 and then concrete is placed. In this way, a stepwise block (a) in which natural shore reef-shaped materials protrude on the surface thereof, is formed and cured. Thereafter, the stepwise block is overturned and laid at the revetment for coastal conservation or the river revetment. By forming natural shore reef-shaped materials 7 on the surface of the block, a natural rock stepwise block closest to the shore reef making a natural scenic view is constituted and it not only brings out the same function with a conventional stepwise revetment structure but also increases the wave-absorbing capacity owing to the natural shore reef-shaped part 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
