PURPOSE:To provide a fiber reinforced composite material easy in volume decrease and regeneration and to apply volume decrease treatment to composite material waste to regenerate the same into the composite material. CONSTITUTION:A composite material is constituted of a laminate of composite material layers 1 wherein a resin is filled with a reinforcing fiber and a resin layer 2 dissolved in anorg. solvent and an acid or alkali solution or a resin layer 2 decomposed or dissolved by radiation or heat. When the composite material is immersed in the org. solvent and the acid or alkali solution or exposed to radiation or heat environment, the resin layer 2 provided between the composite material layers is decomposed or dissolved. By this method, the composite material is scatteringly separated into the composite material layers 1. The separated composite material layers 1 are compressed to be decreased in volume and further cut and ground to fill a resin with the ground matter and this resin is reutilized in a composite panel.
