PURPOSE: To provide a cart lock device, which can be automatically used in an arranged state, unnecessitates any dedicated collection worker and can be used at a low cost, by taking out a cart while releasing a lock releasing piece by using a coin at the time of use, housing the cart in a nesting state after the use, and collecting the coin by inserting the lock releasing piece. ;CONSTITUTION: When a previously set coin 5 is inserted from a coin inserting port 6, an operating member 21 is pushed backward against the energizing force of an energizing spring, a lock member 24 is turned, and the pushed coin 5 is locked by a coin locking piece 30 so as not to be taken out. At the same time, the operating member 21 is held by a pushing device, and the lock of a lock releasing piece 7 is released so as to take out the coin. On the other hand, the lock releasing piece 7 is pushed into a lock releasing piece inserting port so as to turn the lock member 24 through a turning piece 33, the lock releasing piece 7 is locked by a lock-releasing piece locking piece 32, a coin locking piece 30 is released, and the coin 5 can be taken out.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
