PURPOSE:To allow the recycling of washing water and to obtain the automatic developing device which is consequently improved in water saving efficiency by circulating the washing water and further regenerating and cleaning the washing water. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material after development and fixing processings is washed in a washing tank 1 after the washing tank and the water storage tank 2 are filled with the unused washing water at the time of starting the development processing. The washing water is automatically replenished from the water storage tank 2 according to the processing amt. at this time. As a result, the used washing water overflowing from the washing tank 1 is sent as it its to the water storage tank 2 without being drained and is temporarily stored therein. The contaminants in the washing tank 1 and the water storage tank 2 are removed by providing a filter 4 as a regenerating means between the route from the water storage tank 2 to the washing tank 1.
