The concrete panels (2) are erected side by side to span between two walls or beams. A plate slab (3) forming the ceiling soffit of the lower space has two spaced upstanding ribs to provide an inverted unequal double-T spanning panel. The channels (8) between ribs are available for running services including larger pipes and conduits (9-14). The ribs (4) are pierced with openings (5) for transverse piping (9,14) and the ribs are covered with a suitable planked or boarded floor material (6,7). The units are appropriately reinforced and if required, additional compression area at the top of ribs may be provided by additional flanges.
