The present invention relates to a process for preparing products for treating wood, which comprises the crushing/milling and the dissolution of cork-bark- industry waste, consisting of condensates of the vapour from baking expanded pure cork agglomerate, in solvents, specifically organic solvents. The product obtained can be applied in a variety of ways to wood (brushing, spraying, immersion, impregnation under pressure and vacuum-pressure), and confers on it anti-swell properties and the capacity not to absorb water (dimensional stability) and resistance to the development of moulds. The present invention also relates to a product for treating wood, consisting essentially of the condensates of the vapour from baking the pure expanded cork agglomerate and of a solvent, making it possible to increase resistance to fungal attack and development and to improve the dimensional stability of the wood, using a variety of application methods.
