PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar earth leakage breaker having the same external dimension as the constitution of a unipolar breaker by uniting an over current tripping device, a leakage tripping mechanism, an opening/closing mechanism part, and mechanisms such as a trip bar part into a unit and fitting it into a synthetic resin casing. ;SOLUTION: A part of an over current tripping device 60 and a part of a leakage tripping device 84 are a united mechanism and fitted into an insulating casing 43. This constitution dispense with the fastening of the parts, connection of the conductive parts, etc., after being fitted into the insulating casing 43. A part of an opening/closing mechanism 69 and a part of a trip bar 98 are also a united mechanism and fitted into the insulating casing 43. After their fitted into the insulating casing 43, no fastening of the parts is required. An arc extinction device 52, a guide plate 95, etc., besides the united mechanism may be fitted into the insulating casing 43 or each mechanism so as to dispense with the fastening of the parts, connection of the conductive parts, etc. The insulating casing 43 is formed into the same dimension as a unipolar coupled type wiring breaker for an electric lamp distribution board.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
