The device for cooling products using air comprises an insulated housing (1) that contains a tub with a perforated base extending between an inlet (2) and an outlet (3) in the housing. Several cooling units (9-11) are arranged in series inside the device, each unit comprising a cooler (9a-11a) and a fan (9b-11b) for circulating air through the cooler and up through the tub base back to the cooler within the cooling unit boundary. A connector pipe (13) extends from a space (9d) above the tub by the cooling unit (9) closest to the housing inlet, towards a space (11c) beneath the tub by some of the cooling units (11) positioned closer to the housing outlet. The air in the space beneath the tub has a greater pressure than that above the tub. Resulting pressure difference between opposite ends of connector pipe generates air flow that mixes some of relatively cold and dry air from space beneath tub with relatively warm and moist air from the space above the tub. Consequently temperature and humidity of air supplied to cooler are reduced.
