The invention relates to a road marker for guiding traffic on building sites and the like with a marker housing, a standing leg including foot, which supports the marker housing, as well as, fastened in the marker housing, a marker plate with individual, preferably reflecting marking lines, a marker plate (12) which is provided on both sides with marking lines (13) and which is arranged rotatably in relation to the housing (2) or extractably therefrom on a holding device which is connected to the marker housing (2), as a result of which marker plate (12), holding device and housing (2) form a turning mechanism for the marker plate (12) which guarantees that both sides of the marker plate (12) can be positioned on the front side of the housing (2) of the marker (1).
