Process for obtaining 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4- D) in the dry phase. Process for obtaining esters of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) in the dry phase corresponding to the following general structural formula IMAGE where R can be a straight or branched alkyl or alkenyl group or an acrylic group. Comprises the development of a new highly selective method for obtaining esters derived from 2,4-D acid operating in the dry phase through the use of commonly used preferably porous substrates of the oxides type such as silicas and aluminas, or of the silicates type such as zeolites, and bentonites, sepiolites and other clay minerals which are in any event used in the form of powders or finely divided solids. Can be used to directly obtain a semiformulated solid as a herbicide.
