Process for the suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride,either pure or mixed with other monomers, to produce PVC resins. Theprocess uses, as suspending agent, a newly structured polyvinyl alcohol, soas to obtain PVC resins substantially exempt from closed cells and havingan improved thermal stability, no electrostatic charges and a low contentof ions of alkaline or earthy-alkaline metals, which make them particularlysuited for use as insulating materials in the electrical field.
