Endosperm and nucellus specific genes, promoters and uses thereof

Isolated nucleic acid molecules are provided which encode END1 and NUC1, endosperm proteins. Also provided are vectors which are capable of expressing such nucleic acid molecules, host cells which contain such vectors, and polypeptides encoded by the afore-mentioned nucleic acids. In addition, nucleic acid molecules are provided which comprise END1 or NUC1 promoters.
