A biochemical information processor provided with means for storing biochemical information, means for inputting data, means for detecting chemical reaction formulae related to a compound on the basis of the data, and means for displaying a chart of chemical reaction formulae. The storage means is provided with a compound information file, an enzyme information file, and an interrelationship information file, the last file storing a table indicating the interrelationship among the number of a compound serving as a key, the number of an enzyme against which the compound serves as a substrate, and the number of an enzyme against which the compound serves as a product. The reaction formula detection means is provided with a first processing section for preparing normalized data of the compound from the above data and retrieving the compound information file on the basis of normalized data to thereby reading out the compound number, a second processing section for reading out the number of the enzyme against which the compound serves as a substrate or a product from the interrelationship information file on the basis of the compound number read out in the first section, a third processing section for reading out the number of each of other compound(s) constituting a reaction system with the enzyme and additional information about the enzyme from the enzyme information file, and a fourth processing section for displaying the chart of reaction formulae of the compound on the above display means on the basis of the compound and enzyme numbers.
