It is described a process for the extraction and following purification of alfa1-antitrypsin (alfa1-pI) from Cohn IV-1 Fraction, such process comprising the following steps:a) solubilization of the starting paste constituted by Cohn IV-1 Fraction and fractioned precipitation;b) hydrophobic interaction chromatography;c) viral inactivation; andd) final operations.
