The tri-axial laser gyrometer includes three resonant communicating optical cavities (B,C,D) which form a regular octahedron having eight triangular faces. Each cavity has four capillary segments forming a square (B1 - B4, C1 - C4, D1 - D4) perpendicular to an axis. The cavities are arranged so that each of the angles of a cavity (B,C,D) coincide and communicate with the angle of another cavity. A mirror (M1 - M6) associated with each pair of coinciding angles is oriented so as to be used by the two cavities forming the pair. Each cavity (B,C,D) uses two mirrors, a read mirror (M1 - M3) and mirror linked to cavity length (M4 - M6). The cavity is connected to a cathodic chamber (CK) by three cathodic capillaries (CK1, CK2,CK3) ending at the of three successive mirrors (M4,M5,M6) and at a balancing chamber (CE) via capillaries (CE1,CE2,CE3) ending at mirrors (M1,M2,M3). The gyrometer also includes an activating mechanism which drives the optical unit (1) in an alternating rotating movement around an activating axis. The axis ( delta ) of the cathode (K) is part of the activation axis and the activation mechanism includes an activation ring (R1) whose activation crown (CA2) is in thermal contact with the cathode(K) so as to ensure dissipation of the heat generated at the level of the cathode (K). The activation ring (R1) occupies a polar position and is fitted around the cathode (K) in thermal contact with it.
