A device for producing sigle-faced corrugated cardboard out of corrugated webs and smooth lining webs consists of: a corrugating roll (1), which is engaged for embossing with an opposing corrugating roll (3) for producing the corrugations and for guiding the corrugated webs (8) formed thereby around a peripheral element; a gluing device (7) for gluing the tips of the corrugated web; a guide-roll (2) for delivering the lining webs (9) to the corrugated roll; and a deflector roll (4) for, among other things, stretching the lining webs (9) against the corrugated webs around a pre-set arc of the corrugating roll. In order to improve the quality of a wide variety of paper types, a guide element (5) is provided to effect a defined contact between the lining webs (9) and corrugated webs (8) and is biased against the corrugating roll and comprises one support area which is fit to the peripheral contour of the corrugating roll, so that the guide element (5) simultaneously engages along the entire length at least two tips of the corrugated webs lying on the corrugating roll.
