The present invention discloses a composition for forming a carbon electrode, a carbon electrode formed from the composition, and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery employing the carbon electrode. The composition includes a carbon material, a conductive agent, a binder and a solvent, which are composed of a carbon powder (A) having an average particle diameter of 5 to 10 m and a carbon powder (B) having an average particle diameter of 15 to 30 m.
