PROTOPLAST HYBRIDOMA OF LENTINULA AND GANODERMA MUSHROOM

The present invention relates to a method for producing a protoplast fusion of shiitake mushrooms and ganoderma lucidum mycelium, which are basidiomycetes exhibiting incompatibility between the mycelia, and a protoplast fusion having improved pharmacological activity thus obtained. In other words, the method of producing a protoplast fusion of shiitake mushroom and ganoderma lucidum mushroom by reacting cell hypolytic enzymes with mycelia of shiitake mushroom and ganoderma lucidum to produce respective protoplasts and suspending the protoplast fusion of shiitake mushrooms in an osmotic stabilizer. Protoplast fusion P54 of shiitake mushrooms and ganoderma lucidum prepared according to the present invention is an excellent strain having improved pharmacological activity with faster growth rate than the parent strain.
