The present invention provides a monoclonal antibody which specifically reacts to a histogrowth hormone (20khGH) having a molecular weight of about 20,000 and does not substantially react to a histogrowth hormone (22khGH) having a molecular weight of about 22, 000, and a method for producing the monoclonal antibody thereof. The object of the present invention is to provide a cell line producing an antibody, a method for obtaining the cell line and an immunoassay method of 20khGH using the monoclonal antibody, and as a solution, the production of 20khGH antibody obtained from an animal immunized with 20khGH. Cells and myelomer cells are fused to obtain a hybridmer that produces anti 20khGH monoclonal antibody. The anti-20khGH monoclonal antibody produced by this hybridomer was used to quantify 20khGH in a type rack by the enzyme region measurement method. As a result, the monoclonal antibody of the present invention has a low cross-reactivity to 22khGH and has a strong affinity for 20khGH. Therefore, the immunoassay method using the antibody shows that the measurement of 20khGH at the baseline level of the blood level It becomes possible and, therefore, has a useful effect in the clarification of the 20 kHF dermal dynamics.
