FIELD: gold mining. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for use in processes involving dissolution of gold metal, especially in hydrometallurgical recovery of gold from ore. Dissolution of gold is performed in leaching system containing ligand and oxidant wherein solubility of gold is increased owing to aromatic compounds containing endocyclic sulfur or nitrogen.
