Method of connecting prefabricated attic construction modules

The modules are rectangular in plan view, each consisting of a supporting frame on which a prefabricated roof structure is mounted. This consists of roof spars, bottom spanning strips (8), slats and a primary roof fixed to the frame. On site, the module is mounted on a floor module with ceiling/floor plate and it accommodates a roof-ridge module, the three modules being fixed together. The bottom spanning strips are fixed to the roof spars during prefabrication. After erection of the attic modules on site, a watertight joint for the intervening seams is formed by the bottom spanning strips and covers, the further installation operations being then carried out. The strips can be fixed to the spars so as to protrude at one lengthwise edge of the module at least for a distance sufficient to span the joint.
