Procedure for economical by-pass of energy, material and water in hot and cold water systems

The procedure has the stale cooled water in the hot water pipe (7) made ready by a 3-way valve for a cold water consumer (3) at the exit of the valve and the temperature of the hot water is increased in the hot water pipe to a set point temperature. The cold water consumer and a cold water pipe (8) are joined at the valve exit. Depending on the actual temperature of the water in the warm hot pipe at a temperature sensor (6) and the set point temperature of the valve, this valve is switched over by a thermo-mechanical or electrical-electronic control unit.
