Production of a lithographic printing plate from light-sensitive material with a base, silver halide (AgX) emulsion layer(s) and a layer containing physical development nuclei involves development by coating with = 60 ml/m2 developer containing thioether(s) (I) and alkanolamine(s) (II) as AgX solvent.
