PURPOSE: To efficiently remove or collect dust such as fiber scrap, to keep a knitting factory in clean state and to reduce the yarn breakage and knitting defect of knit fabric. ;CONSTITUTION: A suction dome 17 to guide fiber scrap, etc., is placed above the center of in knitting part and a sucking opening 21a is formed at the top of the dome. The top of the suction opening 21a is connected to an exhaustion opening 21f at a side of the machine through a dust-sucking duct 21. The dust- sucking dust is provided with a sucking and blowing motor fan 22. Air is sent upward at the exhaustion side by the sucking and blowing motor fan and the fiber scraps generated in the knitting part are sucked at the suction side. A dust-collection net 23 is attached to the exhaustion side and a dust container box 24 is connected to the lower end of the dust-collection net 23. Preferably, a blowing means is placed opposite to a yarn-feeding apparatus 15 and a power feeding apparatus is provided to enable the reciprocating motion of the blowing means outside of the yarn-feeding apparatus 15.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
