The urban cable structure has a central fibre optic core (11) containing a large number of fibre optic cables (12). The fibre optic cables are surrounded by a filling (13). The central core is surrounded by an outer sleeve (10). A second thin sleeve(14) with a sticky removable section (15) has a slightly reduced diameter to the first sleeve inner diameter and allows easy access to the cables as well as holding the filling material in place.
