The plug for a gaseous drinks bottle (12) comprises a cap (4) which covers the cork head (13) and is attached by a neck band (23) comprising internally projecting notches (25). An anchoring collar (16) fixed to the neck has locking grooves on its external surface which receive and retain the notches of the neck band. The anchoring collar includes a clipping lip (35) axially immobilising it on the neck.
