(57) Abstract The system and the manner which detect convergence in the echo canceler prevent the fact that error convergence is generated only tone as the result of receiving the input signal not to be included. The adaptation filter (304) with the echo canceler (300) is used, the echo signal which the unknown echo channel (360) generates is presumed. The presumption echo signal (328) from the reply signal (324) is reduced, the echo (362) which the unknown echo channel (360) generates is removed. The echo canceler (300) only tone mistaking in the signal which is not included, in order to prevent the fact that it converges, the system and the manner which detect the existence of tone when other frequency does not exist are offered. The filter tap of the adaptation filter (304) is percolated, the percolation signal is generated. By comparison with the energy tonnage of the filter tap which the energy tonnage of the percolation signal is not percolated, it decides whether or not only tone it existed.
