PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the instruction cache of a single cycle with a high frequency and large capacity, by which a VLIW instruction is transmitted to a VLIW processor by loading instructions to the instruction cache together with a section provided with a copied target address and a branch condition and selecting the instruction to be executed. SOLUTION: The respective sections 510 occupy specified bit positions when they are loaded to an instruction register 500 and control a hardware unit which is hardware-connected to the positions. Then, the instructions are loaded to the instruction cache 403 together with the sections provided with copied target address and the branch condition and the instruction to be executed is selected. The instruction includes the branch condition 520 being a value to be the comparison object of a condition code register. Moreover, the respective branch targets 522 of a very long instruction word(VLIW) in the instruction register 500 include the succeeding address of a target VLIW instruction to be loaded to the succeeding instruction register 500 when the condition code coincides with the branch condition 520.
